Chase Armitage, confirmed to play as one of the "Snatchers" in Deathly Hallows movies

Chase Armitage, a parkour, a free-runner and stunt performer, has been cast as a Snatcher for Deathly Hallows. He has also done work in editing, directing and martial arts for a range of television shows and commercials. Videos of his work can be seen at his aforementioned website.

Thanks to Milau ELF for the tip!

SnitchSeeker.com have contacted Chase, who happily spoke about his role in the film (though could not give away too much filming information because of contractual reasons).

Chase noted that he has not seen the Harry Potter films yet, though after being cast he intends to do so. He also mentions that he will be playing one of four Snatchers (no name given), and that he will start filming his scene (which he could not give information about) next week. He has also been to the set and has met the main cast, noting that Dan Radcliffe is "a real sound dude."

Rod Hunt to reprise his role as Death Eater Thorfinn Rowle in Deathly Hallows

Actor Rod Hunt, who played big blond Death Eater Thorfinn Rowle in Half-Blood Prince, has been cast to reprise his role in Deathly Hallows.

In addition to fighting in the final battle at Hogwarts at the end of the story, Rowle was notably seen in the seventh book when Harry, Ron and Hermione sought shelter in London after the attack at Bill and Fleur's wedding. He was also seen in one of Harry's mental flashes, while Voldemort was torturing Rowle for his failure in capturing Harry.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows will be released on November 19, 2010 and July 15, 2011.

British actor Toby Regbo to portray Young Albus Dumbledore in Deathly Hallows films

A few quick casting updates regarding Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.
First word has reached TLC that the part of Teenage Albus Dumbledore will be portrayed by young actor Toby Regbo.
You can see an additional photo of him here.
Also there is a rumor that a new actress by the name of Hebe Beardsall will have a minor part as Ariana Dumbledore, however this is very much unconfirmed and must firmly remain in the rumor category for now.
While we believe these to be accurate, as with all the DH casting reports, these await official confirmation when and if WB releases a formal announcement.

Another Half-Blood Prince movie Trailer

A week ago we showed you a brand new Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince featurette, and today we have another one that is slightly different.

It includes most of the same scenes as last week's featurette, but it's rearranged with a couple short new clips to enjoy (confused Draco, Dumbledore falling from the tower and many more...).

Apple and WB to Release ''Half-Blood Prince'' IPhone Application

Apple and Warner Bros. to Release Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince IPhone Application

Posted by: Sue
May 27, 2009, 02:12 PM

Attention Apple fans! Variety is reporting that there will be a new Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince application released later this year. The article states Warner Bros are "positioning itself as a major distributor of applications for the iPhone and iPod Touch."

The piece continues:
The studio's first app was the "The Dark Knight: Batmobile" game tied to the December DVD release. This year, it put out the "Watchmen: Justice is Coming" street brawler game app, which all purchasers play together. The game runs in real time, so, for example, when a character is punched by one player, other players immediately see the bruise. Days before "Terminator Salvation" hit theaters, Warner released a graphic novel app to get fans caught up with the latest "Terminator." Next up are apps tied to Harry Potter and Sherlock Holmes."

No word on when the application will be available, and we will update once it has been released.

Croatian Actor ''Rade Serbedzija'' Will have a Role in Last Two Harry Potter Movies

The website Javno.com reported a new update on the casting for the "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" 2 part films. It seems that the Croatian actor Rade Serbedzija will have a "brief but very important role" in the remaining Harry Potter movies. The shooting of his scenes will begin in November, this year.

Quote:
One of the best and busiest Croatian actors, Rade Serbedzija, will act in the new sequel of one of the most popular film series: Harry Potter.
He announced this at a press conference at the presentation of the film “Fugitive Pieces” in which he acts as a Greek who saves of Polish Jew, and he was nominated for a Canadian national film award for it.
Six months ago Serbedzija knew about his role in the seventh Harry Potter. Serbedzija will have a small but interesting role in the film titled “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows”. The filming of the movie will start in November.

Serbedzija's other notable films are Mighty Joe Young (1998), Eyes Wide Shut (1999), Mission: Impossible 2 (2000), Batman Begins (2005), The Eye (2008), and Quarantine (2008).

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince movie is 2 Hours & 33 minutes!

HPANA.com received word today that a foreign Warner Bros. distributor has stated the runtime for "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" to be 153 minutes (2 hours, 33 minutes). While certainly not confirmed, this would put it in line with previous films in the series and producers' comments over the years about limiting each film to around that length.

Video: Third "Half-Blood Prince" movie US TV Spot

No mistakes this time, a third TV advert for Half-Blood Prince WAS aired earlier this evening on both ABC and Fox networks in the US. The focus of the advert was Draco and Bellatrix, which showed:

Quote:
It had a few new scenes. It kind of focused on Draco. Him walking through the halls all scared and Bellatrix telling him to carry out the deed. I could be wrong but it also looked like it showed more the of the Harry/Ginny kiss.

Thanks to DowntownPunk for the tip. The video can be seen below

Tom Felton talks about Draco Malfoy & life after Harry Potter

While in Majorca, Spain earlier this month to attend the Pirate Adventure charity event, Tom Felton spoke to students at Queens College and the Pauline Quirke Academy about Draco Malfoy, working on the Harry Potter films and life as an actor.

Quote:
“Do you believe that the role you have played as Draco Malfoy has stereo-typed you as an actor?”

“Please don’t believe I can play a nice guy,” he responded. Asked if from an acting point of view, he struggled to play a “bad character” Felton said “it’s much easier playing someone nasty. Playing the good parts, and being convincing about it, is more demanding.”
Quote:
Asked if he could choose to be another character in the Harry Potter films, Felton said that he would like to play the part of Lucius Malfoy, his father on the screen. However, another student wanted to know if he thought that this same character would make a good prime minister, and Felton answered: “No, he’d be a bit too selective and act more like a dictator than a democratic leader.”
On what Tom might consider doing professionally after the Harry Potter series ends next year, he said:

Quote:
Responding to a question on what he was planning once the filming of the entire Harry Potter series was complete, Felton said that after some “time out” he would like to consider doing something musical in the film world. He is not, he confirmed to another student, going to make a career out of fisheries management which he had once expressed an interest in doing. “I might keep that as a hobby,” he said.

Video: Second "Half-Blood Prince" movie US TV Spot

SnitchSeeker.com reported last week that the first television commercial for Half-Blood Prince was aired in the US.
Word is coming in that a second one was
released earlier this evening on ABC during the programme Grey's Anatomy, with the following description:

Quote:
It started off with the announcer guy all "On July 15th" and then a quick shot of Dumbledore and Harry on the rocks. It transitioned to Dumbledore landing in the Memory. Then it showed Katie Bell flying into the air and Harry and Hermione staring. Following that was Snape saying "It's Over." Then, the Death Eaters went flying through the house and the Burrow exploded. The screen goes blank and then it shoots back with Harry yelling "Fight back, you coward! fight!" and then Snape throws a spell at Harry, the bridge collapses, Death Eaters flying through the air, and then a quick shot of a window exploding.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince will be released on July 15, 2009.
