J.K. Rowling backs "Shine on Scotland" Multiple Sclerosis campaign

J.K. Rowling has given her support to the Shine on Scotland Multiple Sclerosis campaign, which was launched by 14 year old Ryan McLaughlin from Glasgow, whose mother has the condition.

He is hoping to convince the Scottish government that all pregnant women and children in the country should have free access to Vitamin D via the National Health Service, since there are genetic links between Vitamin D deficiency and MS. Jo is quoted as saying ;

Quote:

I am really honoured to support Ryan in his fantastic campaign to get Vitamin D for all introduced as a preventitive measure against MS. Ryan’s mother has MS as did my own mother. I only wish I had the gumption at 14 to do what Ryan is doing and get such an important issue raised at parliament. I wish him and all the other young people joining the mile march he is organising in Edinburgh, the best in their endeavors.

Whilst on his trip
in Majorca, Spain,
as well as helping
out the Great Ormond Street Hospital, London,
Tom Felton
also gave a boost to Luna Radio,
a local station.

Video & Photos: BBC Wales report from "Deathly Hallows" Shell Cottage

The BBC has a new video report online today from Freshwater Beach in Wales, where Shell Cottage is under construction for use in the upcoming Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.
In the video, you can see construction work underway for the location filming which is due to begin with the cast on Monday, May 11th. During the course of the interview, BBC speaks to locals about concerns of the construction and the impact on the gorgeous beach locale in Wales, and also gives a hint for the upcoming location filming of Russell Crow's Robin Hood, which will be filming in the same area a few months later.
