Photos: Casts for Deathly Hallows movie, drive through the wet Shell Cottage Wednesday set.

Although rain slowed down outdoors filming for Deathly Hallows on the Shell Cottage set in Wales yesterday afternoon (May 13,2009),
some of the very sodden cast visited the crew while they tried to dry up the surroundings.

Photos of Dan Radcliffe, Domhnall Gleeson, Evanna Lynch and Verne Troyer (Dobby's CGI body double) riding around and across the wet sands of Pembrokeshire beach;























There are numerous stories going around about when production will finish at the beach, one of which stating that today (May 14, '09) was the last day of production. However, as it was reported earlier that filming is to take place until the end of the week, we are uncertain of its actual completion, and will remain on alert for further information and photos.

TLC: Behind the Scenes Report from Shell Cottage Filming on "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows"

As we've been reporting location filming is ongoing for scenes involving Shell Cottage in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.
Yesterday, TLC reader Victoria went to the set,
and was able to watch almost ten hours of the event on Freshwater Beach in Pembrokeshire, Wales.
While there, Victoria was able to get some wonderful behind the scenes photos,
including our first look at Domhnall Gleeson who will play as Bill Weasley. (Son of Brendan Gleeson who portrait as Mad-Eye Moody in the previous Harry Potter films).




As readers will recall, TLC and SnitchSeeker.com first told us that the son of actor Brendan Gleeson had been cast in the part of Bill Weasley.

Victoria was also able to get new photos of Evanna Lynch (Luna Lovegood):


who was recording an interview;

that will be used in the behind the scenes documentary that will be included on the Deathly Hallows DVD.

While there are scores of high res photos online from the paparazzi such as our photos from yesterday,
Victoria was able to take some nice photos of Emma, Rupert and Dan from a fan's point of view, and we can see more of the crew and the platforms

being used to film, as well as other behind the scenes activities. For example, yesterday we saw a moving photo of actor Dan Radcliffe as Harry, clutching a dying Dobby (Toby Jones) on the beach.

Here in this photo, we can see the crew filming this scene, as well as the others gathered round to watch, such as Rupert Grint, Evanna Lynch, Dom, the stars doubles and other crew, all while the waves crash on the beach;
for what will surely be a powerful and moving scene in the movie.

Other photos include Rupert Grint, Dan Radcliffe and Emma Watson preparing for Dobby's funeral and then three (1, 2, 3) showing Hermione (Emma) actually lowering the shrouded body down to the grave among the sand dunes.

Victoria also writes how kind the crew was through the long day, even letting the girls use the casts porta restroom.

She writes one funny encounter: "I walked out of the casts private bathroom I had to walk over Griphook (Warwick Davis) himself lol, he laughed and said 'its ok im so short you can just walk over me, it was so funny."

She also said that she heard after filming the cottage will be taken down and put in storage, and that possibly "they have apparently built another Shell Cottage in doors at Pembroke Dock somewhere,
just in case the weather was to bad for filming, but I do not know where."

As we know there are hordes of press covering this filming, in particular chasing after Emma Watson and Victoria writes of one special photo she took:



Emma was walking up the beath after filming with the other cast members and walked past some drift wood. as she did, she stopped, took a few steps back and removed her sunglasses to have a really good look at the piece of wood on the shaw. It was such a peaceful moment, even though the paps really spoilt it, by running up the beach to get pics, the poor girl was never left aloue, they were so brutal but this has to be one of my favorites, bless her, she's really lovey and so beautiful....."

Here Lies Dobby, A Free Elf - Day 2 Filming for the Shell Cottage scenes in "Deathly Hallows" movie

Day Two of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows location filming is underway currently in Wales, and we will be bringing you reports as soon as we can. Yesterday TLC and SS brought us the first report and photos from Shell Cottage filming, and among the things noted was the large presence of paparazzi, which is making things difficult for fans to see all the action, and security is now strong in the area.
However, if there is a silver lining to be had, the press does have those large cameras capable of getting large close up photos.
In case you missed it yesterday, along with ones of the cast, two photos of note were obtained showing some interesting relics or items from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows:

Helena Bonham-Carter joins "Deathly Hallows" casts in Wales to shoot the Shell Cottage scenes.

Yesterday we told you that Dan Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, Emma Watson, Warwick Davis (Griphook) and Domhnall Gleeson (Bill Weasley) had arrived in Pembrokeshire, Wales to film the Shell Cottage scenes for Deathly Hallows. Helena Bonham-Carter (Bellatrix Lestrange) has now arrived too.

One on-looker said: “She looked incredibly out of place in a pair of red gloves on a sunny day. She was instantly recognisable and yet she just went in, bought some food and drink and went on her way without any fuss or being recognised.”

Filming will be taking place all this week on Freshwater West Beach, with some suggestions that it could even continue until mid June.

Yesterday we first told you various cast members had arrived for location filming on Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Another cast member has now arrived, Helena Bonham Carter who will be filming her role as Bellatrix Lestrange. Readers will recall of course the dramatic encounter she has with Dobby at the end of Malfoy Manor before they apparate to Shell Cottage, and Hermione does later transform as Bellatrix for the trip to Gringotts. Wales Online reports that Helena made a stop to fill up her car before traveling onward to Pembrokeshire, where as we know, filming is now underway at Freshwater Beach in Wales.

Deathly Hallows cast & crew arrived for "Shell Cottage" filming

Photos taken earlier today show the Deathly Hallows crew setting up their cameras and various technical equipment for this week's Shell Cottage shoot in Pembrokeshire National Park, Wales. Tents and trailers have also been brought in for the cast and crew to rest in, in between takes and scenes:









Filming will commence tomorrow, where actors Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson, amongst others, will be shooting scenes around the cliff-side home.

Cast Members for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Arrive In Wales for Shell Cottage Filming

As announced previously, location filming for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows will be taking place this week in Pembrokeshire, Wales.
As such, many of the cast and crew have arrived in the area.
Many readers have emailed to say that members such as
Dan Radcliffe (Harry),
Rupert Grint (Ron),
Emma Watson (Hermione),
Evanna Lynch (Luna),
Domhnall Gleeson (Bill Weasley)
and even Warwick Davis (doing duty apparently as Griphook)
are now in the area along with other crew, and visited the beach earlier today.

Day One filming is due to start in the very early hours tomorrow at Freshwater Beach for scenes involving Shell Cottage, the location of those dramatic and emotional moments with Dobby.

Update: Jo notes too that on close inspection of the cottage "From the looks of the conservatory and garden,
it looks like they may do some internal filming.
You can also see a chair in one of the front windows.
I couldn’t get over the detail, the little window next the chimney is just such a nice effect, even lobster pots in the garden!"

The Telegraph has a new report up from Pembrokeshire, where crews for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows are putting the finishing touches on Shell Cottage:

The cottage made out of sea shells baffled tourists when it it sprung up on the dunes overlooking the Pembrokeshire coastline.

It is a bizarre sight for beachcombers - the front is old stone while the roof is made up entirely of large scallop shells.

The building on the Freshwater West beach in Pembrokeshire will feature in the final instalment of the seven hit wizarding films.

The BBC has a new video report online today from Freshwater Beach in Wales, where Shell Cottage is under construction for use in the upcoming Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.
In the video, you can see construction work underway for the location filming which is due to begin with the cast on Monday, May 11th. During the course of the interview, BBC speaks to locals about concerns of the construction and the impact on the gorgeous beach locale in Wales, and also gives a hint for the upcoming location filming of Russell Crow's Robin Hood, which will be filming in the same area a few months later.
