I can't reveal much about the new Harry Potter film, which I don't understand because the book is out anyway, but I had to sign a clause that I wouldn't. However, I play Xenophilus Lovegood, a wizard who is the father of Luna Lovegood, one of Harry Potter's friends. That's all I can really say because I haven't read the book! There's been so much money thrown at the project, with there having been [six] other films. They're filming up in Leavesden near London in an old Rolls Royce airplane engine factory. It's an enormous place, so you walk about and see things like a zoo full of owls, so if you need an owl for a scene, you pick up the phone and someone comes across with an owl. It's a like a machine. I've never been - in America - with an employer of so many people. I'm not a big fan of Harry Potter but it feels like a privilege to get called up with people like Maggie Smith and Michael Gambon so it's an honour that they thought of me to play a cross-eyed wizard. |

Editor's Note: "Free running is a form of urban acrobatics in which participants, known as free runners, use the city and rural landscape to perform movements through its structures. It incorporates efficient movements from parkour, adds aesthetic vaults and other acrobatics, such as tricking and street stunts, creating an athletic and aesthetically pleasing way of moving. It is commonly practiced at gymnasiums and in urban areas that are cluttered with obstacles." - Source: Wikipedia

How did you get the part? I got cast to be a Snatcher through my pictures and my ability of free running and parkour. Have you read the books/watched the films? If so, which are your favourite? Yeah I have seen Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, and I think that one is my favorite, it has a bit of a darker edge to it, which is great! What scenes are you involved with? I am involved in a big action sequence for the Deathly Hallows, it's going to be epic! When do you begin? I have started filming already, some night shoots and we have a few more weeks ahead of us which I am excited about. Who will you be working with? I am working with 3 other Snatchers, all of which are top guys and great to be working with. Have you met any of the production team or cast and if so what did you think of them? Yeah we have met some of the cast and crew. Spoke to Daniel Radcliffe and had a great laugh with him talking about our favourite movies and stuff. He is a great guy and I respect his acting, very talented. |
